Welcome to a new era in parquet flooring with Parky

It’s a known fact that a majority of consumers agree that having a wooden floor lends extra character to an interior. It’s a natural material with positive associations, considered to be prestigious, authentic, stylish, and high quality.

Unfortunately, consumers have voiced that wooden floors also have their pain points. These pain points include the cost, maintenance, and installation – which are all arguments that have consumers considering other flooring categories.

But what if you could have it all? A beautifully authentic wooden floor that’s affordable, easy to maintain, and to install?

Introducing Parky: the next generation of wooden flooring. Veneer flooring, or engineered parquet, is currently gaining momentum in the market as a more affordable and durable solution to parquet, with the general public gradually becoming more aware and accepting of this solution – and Parky, a 0,6 mm engineered wood floor, can only fuel this momentum as it provides all the answers to this flooring dilemma. Discover them below:

  • The looks you deserve

Customers are looking for an authentic wood look when it comes to wooden flooring and Decospan’s Parky floors come from a fully natural product: the top layer is made of real wood, sliced from an oak or walnut tree. The HDF core, chosen for extra strength, is made out of 100% recovered wood. Every single plank is unique with natural colour variations – no repetitive patterns to be found here. Through deep brushing, a high-quality finish, and an invisible matt lacquer following the natural relief of the wood structure, these natural looks are maintained while retaining extra strength and being warm and soft to the touch at the same time.

  • The performance you need

Expert manufacturing doesn’t only result in beautiful aesthetics but also quality performance. Parky’s barely visible matt titanium varnish makes the floor extra-scratch resistant, suitable for class 33 applications. The combination of a thin top layer with an HDF core makes the floors up to three times more resistant to heavy objects than a solid parquet floor. Plus, Parky floors are exceptionally easy to maintain through their waterproof surface that can retain water for at least 24 hours. Plus, the floors are easy to install thanks to the Uniclic and Unifit technology.

  • The values you care about

Finally, wood veneer flooring isn’t just a beautiful or practical solution: it’s an eco-friendly one. By using a very thin top layer (only 0,6 mm), you’re able to get up to 25 times more wood out of one tree than if you were using it for solid hardwood flooring. Wood is a natural, renewable resource, and Decospan sources its trees through responsibly managed forestry, whereas their manufacturing plant is powered by solar and wind energy. Concerning certifications, all Parky floors hold an A+ indoor air quality label and hold approved and available Environmental Product Declarations.

Aside from these main properties, the Parky collection is built up out of twelve standard wood choices – but the option for other wood choices and custom selections are available if desired. Customers can choose between a more rustic version of these looks with pronounced knots or a premium style that’s exceptionally pure quality. Five different plank sizes are available, ranging from small planks for a gorgeous herringbone pattern to XL sizes.

All these reasons make Parky an attractive choice to consider – especially as it solves the flooring dilemma that has consumers so worried. They’re getting an eco-friendly, real wood floor with beautiful looks and strong properties at a significantly reduced price, making it an extremely desirable option for consumers who really want that wooden floor.
